Bio
Marcus is a year 3 music student at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in French horn under the tutelage of Lin Jiang, the principal horn in the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. He attended masterclasses from Christoph Eß, Xiao-Ming Han, Ludwig Rast, Chunag Yu-hui, Man Yi, Varga Zoltán and Szöke Zoltán.
He is active in performances. He is currently playing in the Chung Chi Wind Orchestra and Chung Chi Orchestra. He has also played in Ponte Orchestra, Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Young Musicians Wind Orchestra, the Hong Kong Chamber Wind Philharmonic, the Hong Kong Young Soloists Symphony Orchestra, CHK Youth Orchestra, etc. Besides, he travelled to Beijing, Qingdao, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Macau, Budapest and Vienna to perform and participate in festivals and masterclasses.
He has passed the Trinity ATCL Horn Recital in 2019 and the ABRSM grade 8 in Horn
with distinction in 2017.
